For generations, Bathsheba has often been remembered simply as the woman with whom King David committed adultery. Yet Scripture never portrays Bathsheba as seducing David, pursuing him, or initiating their encounter.
Bathsheba 11 – A Sneaks 4a Cause™ Capstone Project documents the journey of a group of incarcerated men of faith as they explore “Uncovering Her Story”—reexamining Bathsheba’s story through deeper spiritual conversations about power, consent, accountability, restoration, and legacy.
The project is part of the broader Sneaks 4a Cause™ Stewardship & Mentorship Pilot Program, which encourages participants to identify their God-given gifts and consider how those gifts can be used in service to others.
As the capstone experience, participants will showcase their unique craftsmanship through an artifact created behind prison walls and incorporated into a special Dr. Mustard Seed Modular Sneaker Kit™. The completed kit is intended to be gifted, through an appropriate charitable partner, to a woman impacted by violence—transforming craftsmanship into an expression of dignity, restoration, and hope.
